NETWORK EVENT ON OPEN INNOVATIONS IN MICRO- AND NANOTECHNOLOGY
On 14 September MESA+ and High Tech Factory organized a very successful network event on open innovations in micro- and nanotechnology.
After a warm opening by Mirjam Bult (executive board University of Twente), Jeroen Cornelissen, (scientific director of MESA+) went in on the research and education facilities of the MESA+ NanoLab. Our guest speaker, Maarten Honing (DSM) shared his refreshing view with the audience on public private partnerships in chemical research.
Han van Egmond (CEO Medspray) and Ronny van ’t Oever (CEO Micronit) told their enthusiastic stories about building their companies and how they remained successful throughout the years.
And last but not least, Gerard van Harten (chairman topsector chemistry) handed over the statue to Janneke Hoedemaekers (director High Tech Factory), symbolizing the admission of High Tech Factory to the national iLAB network. iLABs are hotspots for new business that have been approved and certificed by the Topsector Chemistry. iLABs are interconnected and form the iLAB.COCI network, through which knowledge best practices are exchanged.
In her closing address Janneke thanked everyone involved for their great input, especially Roy Kolkman (coordinator Business Development Team UT and former director High Tech Factory).
